When You're Bored..
People always ask me what I do since im not working.. well aside from the cooking, cleaning, cooking, tanning, cleaning, cooking, facebook, tanning, cleaning.. I have taken on a hobbie. PAINTING. nothing special. I get bored of one painting and then i just decide to paint over it and hang it up on the wall.

Heres a little fact for you, The sun reaches its highest point in our great Alberta skies on June 21, lingering there to shift spring into summer. Calgary's longest day of the year stretches 16 hours and 34 seconds from sunrise to sunset. Cant wait for June 21st!!!!

Confess Yourself...
I came across this fun carefree website when you just want a good laugh or to vent about random things. Here's one example of a wife talking about her husband, "When he pisses me off by doing something stupid, or not thoughtful, I put extra benefiber in his food. He gets a lot of benefiber."
Brilliant!!!!

Patience

Lord, teach me to be patient - with life, with people, and with myself. I sometimes try to hurry things along too much, and I push for answers before the time is right. Teach me to trust Your sense of timing rather than my own and to surrender my will to Your greater and wiser plan. Help me let life unfold slowly, like the small rosebud whose petals unravel bit by bit, and remind me that in hurrying the bloom along, I destroy the bud and much of the beauty therein.
Instead, let me wait for all to unfold in its own time. Each moment and state of growth contains a loveliness. Teach me to slow down enough to appreciate life and all it holds. Amen.

When will this end..
As many of you know I am in the process of filing for my Canadian residency. But its so freakin over whelming.. just when i think its possible something comes up and i feel i will never be a resident.. yesterday i met with my lawyer for a little pow wow to show her all the paper work i have collected in hopes of filing everything by the end of April (with all the set backs i felt that my April deadline would be possible) and come to find out it takes 16-18 weeks to just get police clearance from the USA.... so that pushes me back another 4-5 months to file, USA are you kidding me!! I am so angry with you guys right now, Seriously you guys make it very difficult. Why don't you get off your lazy ass's and get some people in those government buildings that can actually work and start processing paper work a little quicker. Ugh I'm so frustrated!

Mexican Cheese Cake...
Don't wear socks with holes...
When I first moved to Canada, one of the things that surprised me was that very few people wear their shoes in the house. Go into someones home and you leave your shoes by the door. I thought it was just a polish thing at first, but nope its everywhere, even the gym (which i have been attending regularly for the past 2 months) have just noticed a big fat sign in the front saying to leave your street shoes in the front and to have a second pair to put on indoors. Even at the tanning salon and the spa everyone that comes in leaves their shoes at the front.
One factor is undoubtedly the weather - when its wet, muddy, or snowy outside, you dont want to be tracking all that muck into your house or business but this "take your shoes off" rule also applies during the summer. Heres an example from last weeks b-day party I attended:

Birthday Fun..
Last 2 weeks of 2009!
Noah and i ventured off to Penticton BC for the holidays to visit his mom and sister. What a beautiful place... we spent more time than planned due to some car problems that my car was not used to from being around in the cold for all these month.. i guess you can say it got sick in penticton so we had to extend our trip for an additional 3 days while we waited for parts to be shipped from vancouver.. We spent christmas and new years out there, it was very nice and mellow and simple.. just the way i love canada. Simple.
